SMEs often lack the time and resources to seriously consider the financial implications of ambitious new strategies like mergers, acquisitions, moving premises, opening new outlets, developing new products or attacking new markets. Similarly, if key financial personnel are sucked into projects, they can be spread too thin to cover daily FD tasks.

We can provide financial project management, or Interim cover for absent/diverted senior financial staff, working to fixed deadlines or on a rolling days/month basis.

Typically work in this area includes:

  • Providing financial appraisals for ad-hoc projects. Examples of special projects are; pricing reviews, contract negotiation or review, cost/benefit analyses for IT or Capital Expenditure projects, relocation projects etc.
  • Acting as an Interim Finance Director, Finance Controller or Management Accountant on a part-time basis where resource is stretched due to long term sickness or significantly changing business circumstances.
